FORT MILL, SOUTH CAROLINA
Fort Mill, also known as Fort Mill Township, is a suburban town in York County, SC, and is near both Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC.
The population inside the Town's corporate limits was 10,811 at the 2010 Census. Approximately 50,000 people reside within the entire Township.
Fort Mill takes its name from a colonial-era fort built by the British and a grist mill on nearby Steele Creek. It is currently home to major employers such as Black and Decker, Comporium, Daimler Trucks North America, Muzak, One Main Financial, USR and Well Fargo.
