MT HOLLY, NORTH CAROLINA

 

Mt Holly is a small suburban city in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States.  The population was 13,656 at the 2010 Census. It is situated west of Catawba River.  The Downtown Mt Holly Historical District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In 1875, the town was re-named to Mt Holly, after the Mt Holly Cotton Mill that was started that same year.
